How We Do It
Mujerave was founded on the principle that local communities in Guatemala best understand their needs and how to meet them. Mujerave rejects the notion that there exists a one-size-fits-all solution to community-based development in rural Guatemala.
When we ask women what empowerment means to them, they often say they need more resources and information to better support their families, especially their children. Rather than bring solutions to rural communities, Mujerave uses needs assessment tools to allow the community to identify its own development priorities.
