MUJERAVE collaborates directly with women's groups in rural Guatemala to improve family and community health.
Mujerave's Plan
Our plan is simple – we listen to the needs of indigenous women in rural Guatemala and collaborate with them on sustainable development projects to improve family and community health. Indigenous women in Guatemala are not shy about what they need. They need clean, efficient ways to cook food without gas or electricity, and they need to be able to grow a variety of fruits and vegetables in isolated and high-altitude mountainous villages.
Mujerave builds efficient stoves that remove smoke from the home and cut firewood use in half, and we build greenhouses that generate income and diversify family diets.
With the support of donors like you, we implement high-impact projects designed by indigenous Maya K'iche' women in Totonicapán, Guatemala. Because our work is informed by thousands of years of culture and tradition, our projects improve family and community health while preserving Maya cultural traditions and reducing deforestation and environmental degradation.
