Mujerave Interns
Emily Hale
Emily’s passion for helping others and gender equality is what drew her to Mujerave. She was especially drawn to Mujerave’s greenhouse project, as she is currently studying Agribusiness Management and International Agriculture at Michigan State University. Emily grew up on a farm in the thumb of Michigan where her family raises sheep, cattle, hogs, chickens, and grows crops. Emily and her two siblings, Maddie and Danny, have spent many days helping their father on the farm, whether planting a summer garden or playing sports together—Emily’s family is very important to her. Emily spends her free time traveling, hanging out with friends, and watching Michigan State Basketball. She also loves to spend time outside playing with her dog Izzo, and shooting hoops. Emily is happy to be contributing to the work Mujerave does by creating an instructional manual for the women of Totonicapán to use when building and using greenhouses.
